Oculus Reparo!

Time to use our wands, and put on our Harry Potter glasses. Today our Harry Potter tour started. I am writing this post from the other place where she wrote the book. You can see the castle (Hogwarts) from the window. And, best of all, it is called the Elephant House, and has elephant stuff everywhere. It is almost a private tour. Because of several last minute cancellations and a couple of people who changed tours, there are only four people on our tour. The two other girls on our tour are Beth and Christy, who are sisters from Madison, Wisconsin. Larry Ivy is our tour guide (pic above) and Thomas is the intern helping out. We ate dinner last night at the other place she wrote the book- which now happens to be a Chinese buffet- Dad would love it. And we went on one of the best ghost tours ever. It was underground and dark, and Thomas the intern got whipped. I love it when undergrads are put in their place! Also, watch for a guest blog from Just Linda.

I don't even understand how you find the time to do all this blogging while you're overseas. At any rate, while I'm not into Harry Potter, a private tour complete with a tour intern sounds pretty awesome.

You BOTH look so great...and like you are having a wonderful time! Good for you both, you work hard and deserve it. Was the train on time at 9 3/4?

A semi private tour, huh? That almost makes up for the scary London hostel.
Do the two sisters on your tour live near Linda? Perhaps they have more in common than just HP although that should be more than enough.
Enjoy Edinburgh. That's another city I need to add to my list!
Dad's busy coughing. It's beginning to drive me crazy. I would have made a terrible doctor. I would have said, "Off with his head"...oh wait...wrong country and wrong story.

Yo Pumpkin, that minster thing was pretty cool. I always thought Westminster Abbey was just a part of tne City, like Gramercy park etc.. I'm very proud of both you and Linda for surviving the Hostel Horrors even if they caused you and Linda to seek refuge in a nunery.(My daughter with her sausy-mouth in a convent....WTF sister)

You make York come alive, I can't wait to get there. In fact, with a wig and some appropriate padding I may even stay in the convent. (A parochial education with Nuns torturing my psyche for 12 years, I think I deserve a little "payback". Besides, they never taught me what a minster was!) Love Ya...Have Fun...The Pod of mam (lower case intentional) & Pod

I am super jealous of the ghost tour!! I got your postcard the other day- I cannot believe you dared to go into another cave- you are crazy!!!! Have fun and if you happen to run into Daniel Radcliffe let him know he can come stay with me if he needs a place to hide from Voldemort.
